Our Hudson Valley T'ai Chi Tip of the Week

The Brush_Knee movment is a very good
offensive and defensive weapon in T'ai Chi
It can shift the weight of power from an
agressor to you and change from defensive
to offensive in the movement of the form.

The use of the body in T'ai Chi can be related to the coil of a snake or the movement of a whip .

The Second movement of the T'ai Chi Short Staff is to strike and move forward The body position  and the strikes are done with the staff in unison with the step forward to add power to the strike.
